Alice opened the door leading to the outside of the school and slowly walked across the field, a fairly serene look on her face. Not much had been going on in the past few days, which admittedly was a welcome change from her life. She was just starting to get settled in for yet another year of school, and she had had a sudden urge to go out into the field. So, as a result, there she stood, looking out onto the school's seemingly endless property and the various people coming and going, waiting for something to happen.

She carefully sat down cross-legged in the soft grass at the very end of the field and opened the book she had started just recently, flipping to the page she had left off on last and beginning to read silently. Of course, she could've easily just stayed in her dorm and read the book, but today she was feeling somewhat restless and staying inside longer than she had to was the last thing she wanted to do. Besides, you can't watch all the boys passing by when you're locked up in your room, now can you? A small smile spread across Alice's face as her eyes diverted from the pages and scanned carefully across the screen once again.
